It’s a classic design challenge: distill complicated content into an engaging, easy-to-digest format.
A video for “prorated billing” definitely fits that bill. However, I’m continually exploring how this challenge can be seen as an advantage to drive unexpected solutions.

Fail early to succeed sooner.
Inspired by this frame of thought, I used a $20 prop budget and the assistance from my team to create this stop motion prototype. In no time I found myself presenting it to leadership. This quick experiment helped me illustrate how low-cost, modular videos could help increase awareness for DirecTV Now.

Buying a new smartphone is exciting and the process should be simple. Our goal was to help customers understand their financing options.
To clarify the purchase options, I stripped down the aesthetics, relying instead on the whimsical combination of live action video and the imperfection of hand-crafted props.

Family Map is an app that helps locate the ones you love.
Although this is a video promoting technology, the heart of the message is about connectedness. I chose to highlight this theme through a nuclear family narrative, a retro aesthetic, and an optimistic soundtrack.

In close collaboration with another designer, I created a video to celebrate a group of selfless individuals, the ACEs. The Award for Community Excellence (ACE) is an exclusive designation awarded every year to recognize top AT&T Support Community contributors.
I also jump at any chance to animate a giant robot.

Purchasing multiple AT&T services can be complicated.
I took it upon myself to create a solution that both informs and entertains. The video concludes with an interactive CTA so a potential customer can effortlessly check service availability in their area. This simplifies the experience by ensuring customers are presented with only relevant offers.

“Build once, reuse often” was the strategy behind making this support video. This meant that while shooting the first Alexa + DIRECTV video, we also shot additional scenes to build a library of templated assets for future use.
Combining simplicity, optimistic storytelling, and practical guidance, I help customers pair Alexa with DIRECTV to get the most out of their entertainment.

AT&T now delivers an unparalleled combination of programming, products, and services. This video was a quick exercise exploring the boundaries of the AT&T Brand through a bold new look.
A small team of 7 people created this short test footage in just 2 days.

“Creating simple, personalized and optimized digital experiences by leveraging data.”
Handed this logline, I used the theme of “liquid” to reflect the fluid, transparent delivery of personalized content. This video was on display at an AT&T Technology Operations conference.

Free internet for life?!
That was the promotion AT&T wanted to offer Bay Area residents. A video was needed to promote the offer while also clarifying the small print and speaking to a specific target audience.
It was also important that the project file could be easily updated for other geo-specific markets.
After the success of this offer / video, I quickly modified a version for Chicago.

It’s no secret that the presentation of a social media ad is just as important as the message.
With that in mind, my goal was to keep the story concise and compelling. Engaging imagery, vivid brand colors with textures, and a precise edit to the modern holiday music were all essential to this ad’s success.
